444.625 Move to High Point

Posted by Keith Brady (KF4OVA) on August 27, 2019 at 1:10 AM Comments comments (0)

Hello all, the 444.625 repeater has been relocated to High Point N.C. after being off the air for about a year. With the N4HRS repeater on Jonas ridge being strong at times, the repeater couldn't be used at its old location. The new location in High Point is showing promise for coverage. It looks to cover a large area East of High Point. Check it out. Oh P.S., it is now linked to our 442.425 repeater in Fancy Gap VA. Enjoy everyone

 Hello guys,

The 146.865 and 224.340 both have a High SWR reading. I have disabled them both to keep from burning the Amplifiers up. Weather permitting, I will get the 2 meter repeater back up, and if there is time, I will work on the 220 repeater. The rain has found a way in. Will keep you updated on the progress

The FM net has been running as long as I have had my license which is more than 17 years. It doesn't get the traffic that it deserves. Please pass the word to others, that the net is available now on the Piedmont Repeater System. All the repeaters on the triad repeater system will air it. The list of repeaters are on t...

Hello guys, we had an issue with 146.865 over the weekend. We have recently resolved the problems. We were unaware that the repeater was dropping power until I had a rough time hearing it in Winston Salem. After several tests, I discovered the Duplexers for 2 meter weren't calibrated properly. So I went through the duplexer, and realigned them for the frequencies we are using. And now, it looks good. Power output to the antenna is back at 90 watts. Before only 10 watts was making it. Lets tr...
